Privacy Policy

Nova Business Group (“Nova,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits novaforbusiness.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect

When you email us at hello@novaforbusiness.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. When you ask the missed-revenue calculator or the Missed Call Revenue Calculator on our home page to email you a report, we collect the details described in the calculators section below, and we automatically record the IP address and browser user agent of the device used. We do not collect payment information through this Site.

When you send a request through the form on our Contact page, we collect who you are, your name, business email, phone number, company and city or region if given, what you are looking for, when you need it by, whether you asked for help choosing, anything you type in a short “Other” box, and your message, and we automatically record the IP address and browser user agent of the device used; the lead form emails a confirmation of your request to the address you give. This information is stored under the same retention rules described below. If you used the consultation request form on an earlier version of this Site, what you submitted then (your name, business name, email address, phone number and the details you included) is held under the same rules.

When you use one of the topic forms on our Contact page — AIMERICA, missed calls, or Digital Growth — we may also collect your answers about how calls are answered today, call volume, the share of calls that go unanswered, typical customer or job value, your phone setup, what you would like an AI assistant to handle, your number of locations, your website address, how customers find you now, the marketing you do now, and your main marketing goal. These answers are stored with your request under the same retention rules described below.

When you send a partnership request through the partner form on our Contact page, we collect your name, business email, phone number if given, company, your company’s website, what kind of company it is, the kinds of partnership you are interested in, the markets you serve, anything you type in a short “Other” box, and your message, and we automatically record the IP address and browser user agent of the device used. This information is stored under the same retention rules described below.

How we use it

We use the information you send us to reply to your email, answer a request you send through the form, send a calculator report you ask for, and provide the services you ask about. The IP address and browser user agent are used solely for abuse and spam prevention — for example, detecting automated or fraudulent form submissions — and are not used for marketing or tracking. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to responding to your enquiry or protecting the Site.

Data storage and retention

Calculator report requests and lead form submissions — including the IP address and browser user agent collected with them — are stored in a secure database. Submissions are deleted automatically 24 months after they are made, unless a deal record is linked to them. The check runs once a day. You can ask us to delete yours sooner by emailing hello@novaforbusiness.com.

Emails you send us are kept in our business email for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide the services you ask about, and keep ordinary business records.

Email

When you request a calculator report, we email the report to the address you provide and send an internal notification to our team. We do not add you to a marketing list because you emailed us, booked a call or requested a report.

Calculators

Purpose. The missed-revenue calculator and the Missed Call Revenue Calculator on our home page run in your browser. The numbers you set are not sent to us while you use them. We receive them only if you ask us to email you a report, and then we use them to send that report and to let our team see the request. Download report saves a text file on your device and sends nothing to us.

What we keep. When you request the report we store one record with your name, email address and company (if given), your phone number if you give it, a short text summary of the numbers you entered, the assumptions you set and the results, whether you ticked the optional follow-up box together with the version of the wording you saw, whether you ticked the optional box to hear from NOVA about AI call handling and related services, which is separate consent and is never required to receive the report, the page it came from, the time, and the IP address and browser user agent of the device used (for abuse prevention).

Follow-up. We contact you about your results only if you ticked the follow-up box, which is unticked unless you tick it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing hello@novaforbusiness.com.

How long. A report request from either calculator is deleted automatically 24 months after you send it, unless a deal record is linked to it. The check runs once a day. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time by emailing hello@novaforbusiness.com; we delete it by hand once we have confirmed the request comes from you.

Who processes it. Supabase, our database provider, stores the record, and Resend, our email delivery provider, sends the report and the notification to our team. They are the same providers listed under Third-party services below. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It reports aggregate information such as page views and general geographic region, and cannot identify you individually.

We also keep our own daily totals of a few actions on the Site, such as a form being started or the calculator being opened. These totals use no cookies and store nothing that identifies a visitor: only the day, the action and the page.

Cookies

This Site does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Any cookies in use are strictly necessary for the Site to function.

Third-party services

We use the following third parties to operate this Site and handle your enquiries:

• Supabase, our database provider, to store calculator report requests and lead form submissions securely.
• Resend, our email delivery service, to send calculator reports, lead form notifications, and the related internal notifications to our team.
• Google, which hosts our business email (including hello@novaforbusiness.com).
• Vercel Analytics, described above.

Each of these providers processes data only as needed to perform its function for Nova and is bound by its own privacy and security practices.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or ask what we hold, by emailing hello@novaforbusiness.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Governing law

This policy, and any dispute related to it, is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
